Make no mistake, fellow Packer fans: This game against the Vikings is the biggest game of the Packers' season, for many reasons:

1. The fact that the playoffs are probably out of reach means that the Packers need a win here to salvage some dignity.

2. With the come-from-ahead loss in Minnesota, the Packers have been responsible for ressurrecting what was looking to be a terrible season for their arch-rivals. They can help correct that mistake by winning on Monday night.

3. Both teams are coming off road wins against quality opponents.

4. The return of Darren Sharper, following a three-interception game last week.

5. The Packer defense finally put it all together last week, and now they need to finish the job that they couldn't finish against the Vikings a few weeks ago.

6. On a less happy note, it is possible that this could be Brett Favre's last Monday night game at Lambeau Field.

The Packers should be supremely motivated to win this game, but the Vikings are always tough. This game means a lot to them as well. Even though both teams have struggled this year, this game could be a classic. Man, I love football!

I don't think the playoffs are out of reach quite yet. But we need to win as many games as possible to keep the playoffs in sight.

The biggest game of the season was probably a few losses ago before the Packers were in such a deep hole the only way out is to keep digging.

This is a huge game for both teams and I am really looking forward to it.

Its the Pack and the Vikes! If both teams were winless, this would still be a heated game, no question. There is nothing better that this rivalry in the NFL IMO.

Good Luck...but not too much! :D

VIKINGS TEAM RANK: Rushing Offense -- 85.0 yards per game (27th in NFL); Passing Offense -- 198.8 ypg (20th); Total Offense -- 283.8 ypg (25th). Rushing Defense -- 127.2 ypg (26th); Passing Defense -- 230.8 ypg (26th); Total Defense -- 358.0 ypg (28th).

PACKERS TEAM RANK: Rushing Offense -- 75.8 ypg (30th); Passing Offense -- 250.3 ypg (5th); Total Offense -- 326.1 ypg (16th). Rushing Defense -- 110.3 ypg (14th); Passing Defense -- 189.2 ypg (11th); Total Defense -- 299.6 ypg (10th).

The Packers are clearly the better team and should win handily. Too bad for the Packers that Fred Smoot and Culpepper are replaced by better players. Still the Packers will win by more than 10 points and the defeated boat savages will have to retreat across the St. Croix with another inferiority attitude.
