That was my list I've kinda stuck with.....however, I've decided given the organizations situation both cap space and needing receiving options I'm gonna throw a name out there which I 100% admit is a coin toss as to what is going to happen. Jordan Reed (Age:29) - I know instantly half of your eyes rolled...and the other half is divided into two groups: those saying "**** no" and an eyeroll OR you are slowly having a grin creep across your face. Reed has accomplished more than Graham ever did in a year for us, in all but one of his abbreviated seasons (2017 when in just 6 games he had 2TDs and 211yds still!). I mean fellas his output for the injury history he has is kinda amazing truly. If you get over 10 games out of him he is nearly a LOCK for 500 yards and 2-4 TDs...with a surefire chance in the MLF system to look closer to his 2015/2016 seasons if you get a dozen or so. He truly is a gamble...you will either pay for a guy to sit on IR....OR.....you have when healthy arguably one of the BEST TEs presently in the game. One cannot emphasize the health issue you are taking on with him...I mean folks SEVEN documented concussions since 2010 is NOT something to scoff at or overlook. However, if the guy wants to play, and physically checks out I 100% believe he could be had for a steal. With a similarly aged and more reliable (albeit worse receiving threat) Demetrius Harris getting $1.65M from the Bears I think that is a solid starting point with Reed. If you can ink him for that $1-$2M a year area with maybe some escalators to sweeten the pot, it is a gamble I 100% at this point in Rodgers career believe in doing OR at minimum looking into. This dude can freaking ball when in....key is WHEN IN. With our shrinking cap space and pending contracts and unknowns....this is the type of boom or bust FA signing I think is worth the minimal risk of.
