Message: <blockquote data-quote="Anubis" data-source="post: 20656" data-attributes="member: 257">It really is amazing how these sports writers can assess the potential career of a rookie QB based on his performance in his first 4 preseason games.  Personally, I thought Rodgers showed improvement each game he played.  This may not have been reflected in his numbers, but as far as reads and keeping his head went, I thought he was doing well.  I have only seen the highlights of the Tennessee game, but I will be watching it when I get home tomorrow morning.  When the draft was on, I was hoping for the Pack to choose a big defensive player in the first round.  However, after they picked Rodgers I realized what a gift that could end up being for the Pack's future.  We really won't know for a few years when Rodgers takes over as starter and we see what he can do on a regular basis.  However, I am confidant that he will prove to be a worthy choice to take over QB duties from Favre.As far as Orton goes, lets wait to see how he performs in a regular season game vs. an all-veteran starting line before anyone crowns him the NFL's next Golden Boy.   :roll: GO PACK!Robert C.
