Come on WIMM you can't have it both ways, if there's a slim chance it's not delusion. I do agree that we need guys who didn't play to come in and play at levels that shouldn't be prudently expected of them. Of course we also need players who played in that game to play better. Sherrod needs to find his feet quickly, Rodgers needs to knock the rust off, our interior O-line and TEs need to run block better, Nelson needs to catch that ball(on Rodgers too). I didn't see Seattle making hair brained mistakes. I saw Green Bay players make a boatload on both sides of the ball. Sam Shields turning his man loose even though Matthews had an angle on Wilson, Dix failing what should have been a routine tackle. Sam Shields tipping up a sure fire pick 6. Aaron Rodgers missing a number of easy throws, also what's up with the jump balls to Randall Cobb? He's just not a perimeter receiver. Clay Matthews pursuing the running back from the backside and failing to account for Russell Wilson as the ball carrier, could have been an easy sack/tackle for loss. Julius Peppers poor awareness for oustide contain throughout the game.. Jordy Nelson dropping and tipping up a difficult but very catchable ball. Derek Sherrod forgetting his arms and hands leading to a sack fumble safety. Even with our shaky run defense we might have been able to win that game with Aaron playing a better cleaner game, Sherrod not giving up a sack fumble, Nelson not bobbling that pick. I think when the players watch the film they won't be deflated but rather they'll realize that they could have done a lot more to help themselves in that game. I think in terms of scheme we can improve by A) firing a safety at Percy Harvin when he runs the motion B) using more of Randall Cobb in the backfield. Also I think Seattle's offense should take a bit of a hit, Harvin won't stay healthy all season.
