This doesn't directly relate to Lucas, but I was just wondering does anybody know any very good players that developed in NFLE and came back to be an impact starter? I know Adam Vinatieri started out there but anyone else?

I was wondering that myself. I think there was a QB who did it, of relative talent...but i cant put a name on it.

Nall did well in Europe and has most of his career ahead of him.
Did Hasselbeck not play in Europe?
Had the Packers kept Travis Dorch instead of Sander they could have had the best punter in NFL-E and back up kicker(kick off specialist?).
Sander was second best in 6 team Europe.

Once Walker is traded, the Packers are looking at

Old man Driver
Gardner
Boerigter
Ferguson
The drafted guy(s)
The guy acquired at the final cuts
Lucas

Lucas will have to show a lot to make the roster.
By opening day 2007 Ferguson will be replaced with someone better.

Re: Chad Lucas impresses in NFL Europe..a possible Favre wea

what about our center playing for the Rein in NFL-E ....Pete Traynor

Traynor aided a ground attack that churned out 149 yards, while Fontenot — a week after intercepting two passes — broke up one pass and made three tackles.

fontenot should definetly be in camp to fight for a backup job come june. and traynor could be a back up where we are really weak right now in the center O-line.

I know theres no eye popping info or stats from these guys, but what can i say im a man of hope.

I think the Packers just got two starters out of the NFLE until now.
WR Bill Schroeder and G Marco Rivera played for Rhein Fire in 1997.
By the way that's my favourite team.

With the Packers Schroeder had 225 catches for 3435 Yards and 20 TDs in his five seasons.
And I don't have to tell you about Marco Rivera, do I?

Watch NFLE Alumni for

Missing on this page is Denver Safety Nick Ferguson who played for
Rhein Fire in 1998 and 1999.

It was Kitna, who is a solid QB.
