Babich was the Bills' defensive coordinator. He's taking a demotion here in Green Bay. Did nobody want to hire him as a DC?

I believe we liked him when we signed Hafley, or was it a lot of Packer fans liked him.

I'm all for it as well. Im friends with a lot of Bills fans and they said they liked him as a position coach but has to grow as a DC, which is good for us. Hopefully Gannon does a great job, gets a HC job and Babich is next.

IMO he was a so-so DC overall but excellent in the passing game, which is of course what he is coming here for.

Just like there are plenty of coordinators who don't make great HC's, maybe it's a case of a guy who is a great positional coach but not such a great coordinator of the whole unit.

I like it overall

I like this hire.

The secondary for Buffalo have been tough, physical, and opportunistic the last couple years.

CBs that are willing and able to tackle is important (looking at you Nixon).

Hopefully, Gute gets some better CBs in the room.

I like the hire too. But I don't know why you bring up Nixon. He misses tackles but I think is a willing one. He sometimes comes up on thise short throws in the flat.

I've witnessed some "business decisions" by Nixon when it came to tackling that I can't unsee.

I'm just not a fan of his as a CB1 or CB2.

However, I think he could be an elite slot CB.
