Heard on NFL total access last night that Bevel is the leading candidate to become the Queenies' new OC. Not necessarily surprising because he played for Childress at Wisconsin, but this is a pretty big jump.
Bevell is truly an unknown factor.
I think it is a good move for him as well as the Green Bay Packers (I like alot of other posters on this forum don't believe he was a productive contributor in Green Bay).
The flip side of that coin is, he could be a gold mine for the Vikes if the new coach keeps the same tired offensive scheme the Packers ran while he was with Green Bay.
Who really knows he could flop or succeed, only time will tell.
I've always thought he had a bright future but was in a tough situation being a young guy and an assistant trying to coach a stubborn living legend. I thought he could have done a good job if given a more junior guy to work with, but I don't think he's going to have that opportunity.
