Very hard to do both in most eras. Even before free agency and then collective bargaining Lombardi did it and even he made some miscalculations. Wolf should have found a professional GM. In addition to the guards we lost Flanagan, our all-pro center, after 2 games with a career ending injury. Our defense in 2004 was so bad that we had to improve it. We had 3 running backs go down as well. Just a horrific season. Surprised Favre did not pack it in then.</p></blockquote><p></p>
