He had dropped in the draft with a report that the knee was "bone on bone".</p><p></p><p>He's <em>the kind</em> of back this offense would appear to need given the shabby run blocking, a physical back who can get yards on his own when healthy and his head on straight. But that knee? You could do all the medical exams and workouts in the world and you would not know what you've got until you put him on the field.</p><p></p><p>I dunno. I suppose if Williams is expected to be out for any period of time, Ajayi's medicals look tolerable, and there's no contract overhang where he could be dropped without paying more than his game checks, he might be worth a shot, given the alternatives, for 10 carries per game.</p><p></p><p>That said, it's a long shot propsition on the health/durability issues.</p></blockquote><p></p>
