It all boils down to whether or not Ted is "all-in" on one certain guy (i.e. Kendricks/Anthony). If he isn't one would assume he would prefer picking up extra picks which to him are gold. My only glaring concern would be the domino effect which seems to happen every year whether it's the real NFL draft or your local fantasy football draft. Once a certain position group is drafted it seems teams hit the panic button and before you know it 3-5 guys are taken from said position group. One would think if Ted moved the first rounder he would get a pretty decently positioned 2 which would render my above statement moot. My point is when you move back you always open yourself up to missing out on multiple players that you had interest in depending on other teams boards. If Ted and Co. feel comfortable with SR coming in more often to play LB in obvious passing situations his options at ILB would grow considerably. I am of the mindset that a true, 3 down backer is what's needed but when you look at the money they paid to keep Sean one has to wonder if they have plans to increase his workload this season which would most likely include the above. If memory serves correct he did play this role a touch last year, no? If indeed all of this is true then Ted may go after guys like Dawson and McKinney which can surely be had in the second and probably at the original position of 62 leaving the newly acquired second 2nd open for CB, DL or wherever. One probably has a better chance of filling out back-to-back perfect NCAA BBall brackets than picking Ted's first 3 picks successfully. As I have documented in my time on this site I am one of the believers in Ted and have a good feeling come mid-season we will all be looking back and saluting the job he did in this years draft. [QUOTE="SoonerPack, post: 607928, member: 9838"] I too am starting to think Ted may move #30 to garner some extra picks which will most assuredly involve a 2015 2nd. I think that strategy may pay off as it appears there will be a lot of meat left on the ILB bone come the 2nd round. This is where gamesmanship comes in and you weigh the risk/reward of each deal and decide whether the risk is indeed worth the reward (this is where gray hair comes from...). I don't care what Ted does with the picks so long as we get a couple guys that can step in and help this season with the most glaring need being a solid ILB. I was thinking last night about the ILB debate and Sean Richardson came into my mind and hears why. I sort of went sideways there so my apologies. The kid had me up most of the night and I am a touch delirious . Predicting what Ted will do is one of the most pointless exercises in all of sport but that's what makes this time of the year so fun! One probably has a better chance of filling out back-to-back perfect NCAA BBall brackets than picking Ted's first 3 picks successfully.
