Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pokerbrat2000" data-source="post: 1099068" data-attributes="member: 7261">Given that there was no way that the Packers were going to honor the rest of Diggs contract with the Cowboys (after 2025), they picked him up off of waivers for a tryout and playoff depth/insurance.  That insurance and tryout cost them $531,045 for Diggs to play in 1 meaningless game and basically watch from the sidelines in the playoffs.  I think had Diggs showed something in the Viking game and the practices leading up to the playoff game against the Bears, he gets more than 1 snap in a very meaningful playoff game.  He didn't, as expected, the Packers cut him and there has been no rumbling of them resigning Diggs.  I would also point to what they did in Free agency (signing St. Juste) and the draft (Cisse and Jackson) as to the final evidence that Diggs won't be back in Green Bay.</blockquote>
