This was a small but densely talented class of Green Bay Draft selections. It felt like we pressed more on ideal positional needs, but that might’ve just been more a recipient of good fortune. It felt or appeared like BPA fell in line with a Top 3 need in each round. It reminded me of our 2023 class where we went pure projection in RD1 (Lukas) but settled in later by just grabbing Reed, Kraft, Brooks, Wicks, Valentine. Obviously time will tell and in no way, shape or form a I interpreting these adds as some “100% hit rate” and I never will. That said, IF Smack or Domani work out this could be one of our better drafts to value of draft placing. My gut tells me we stuck this draft considering having only 6 selections. 3 to 4 will be key contributors 2026-27. Secondly, IF this class hits at what I’d label a customary “good draft”? I think GB will slightly improve off their 2025 showing. Even with a pretty tough opponent list I could see an 11 or 12 Win type season. While I do see 3 teams that are playoff worthy, I don’t see any “dominant” team in the North that will run away into that multiple 13+ Win category like 2024 showed. GB in particular will be aided by the addition of what appears to be an assortment of very solid injury comeback options that missed last season. Drafted 2025, John Williams 2nd team Center, drafted 2024, Travis Glover 2nd team RT, drafted 2024, Marshawn Lloyd RB2, drafted 2025, Colin Oliver who’s a tweener blend of LB/DE. Makes the 2026 Draft Class feel bigger when we factor several of these players into our mix. Imo this give GB a more robust Roster feel with an increase in depth chart quality. (assuming they don’t all go down either injuries etc)
