I like our present grouping. In 2025 we had exactly 17 regular season games combined featuring either Watson or Reed. Unfortunately that’s the equivalent of losing 1 player an entire 17 game season. I have Reed and Watson as our top 2 producers. Reed led our team in raw yards production for 2 straight seasons (2023,3024) and came out in 2025 running hot, until he busted his shoulder catching a long TD pass. Reed had only 5 games in 2025 with more than 15% snap count. So we lost our #1 producer for 70%+ of last season. I doubt anyone would list Watson as our 3rd of 4th best WR last season. That combo is our 1-2 punch If we’re able to get BOTH guys playing most of the season? That’s a huge deal Now that’s not to slight Doubs, however imo he was a recipient of an increase in targets and did a good job filling that role. Golden and Savion being in season #2 also helps. The playbook should start feel smaller and the hesitation in their process smooths out. Also Matt can open up his playbook a little more with confidence and both move up the pecking order. Skyy is a nice depth piece. When I’ve watched his film at KC, his movement are what I call..fluid. The second a play breaks down? He’s highly adept at finding holes and creases. He’s got an uncanny ability to take a 5 yard comeback into a 10 yard gainer. He did that in college quite a bit and you see that aspect transition in KC. Several scouts said he’s “a QB’s Best Friend” due to his ability to bail a QB out when under duress in the pocket. He underperformed in 2022-2023 (for a RD2 draft pick) then in 2024 he started slow again and was lost for the season after about 5 games to a core injury. In 2025 he was barely used on Offense, but was traded last second and kinda thrown to the wolves at SF49ers, posting more than 18% O snaps in just 1 Contest. His drops went away and he caught 71% of targets. Year 5 with an entire Offseason program in GB I’m hoping things slow down. Skyy probably should’ve transferred to another higher grade University as he only had about 2 years of playing time at Western Michigan and even then at the MAC level. He was considered a graduating Sophomore at lower end Conference competition.
