We definitely are and really we should be. IMo your 1st season at any position group is rarely anywhere close to your peak. In particular Rhyan and Belton were in completely different roles. Belton is a converted Tackle and Rhyan Guard. I just can’t expect to throw guys into that situation mid season and expect them to finish top of their game. Could it happen? Sure. Will it? Absolutely not and with rarity. Corey is the last Center that kinda took to it very quickly, but even he had a FULL season starting at Seattle. Yet even Linsley was rough around the edges and I distinctly remember Rodgers screaming at him early on. We would NEVER judge Corey on a some earlier mishaps. No Offense to Rasheed he was a wonderful 7th Rounder, yet he was really a slightly below average LT. Blindside needs to be the strength of an OL and in no way should we settle. Morgan at his bottom is Rasheed on an average Day. If you told me Morgan would play above average in his LT start I’m not surprised one bit. Bulaga said he’s just not really a Guard as much as they want to try to make him one. His strength is his lateral Quickness and applying his athletic traits not hiding them. There’s a 70% chance our OL ranks better than 2025 after this season imo and a 15% chance we remain stagnant. last year we hit 1/2 season from Reed and 1/2 season from Watson and really a 1/4 season from Golden and 1/2 season from Kraft. That’s our most dynamic players at Receiver. Now respect to Doubs did a fantastic job stepping up with LOTS of opportunity fed his way. but imo his true ceiling is a good WR2 and forcing him to play a #1 actor would be short lived or artificially fed. If we get “mostly full seasons” from Golden, Kraft, Watson and Reed? There is 0% doubt in my mind we will see a higher scoring Offense. Especially if it’s in unison with better OL play.
