I've for a long time said Isaiah Foskey is a guy I highlighted/circled and want GB to keep tabs on if there when we pick...but let me introduce you to quite possibly a guy I feel may be even more a GB type: Lukas Van Ness EDGE/DL Iowa 6'5' 265lbs What have we all said and noticed about GB high draft picks...they typically have very athletic measurables (RAS), they are younger prospects, and they have signs of growth still yet to come while illustrating strong un-coachable qualities and coachable mentality for things which aren't. Lukas Van Ness is just flat out a check in EVERY single box you can think of. He won't even turn 22 till mid summer this year...his length, twist, agility, motor, tenacity all just explode off of paper and/or film when you watch him. Being redshirted in 2020, he actually played as an inside down line option for Hawkeyes and truly applied a ton of pressure from that position (7 sacks)...that inside year really made his bull rush technique grow and his arm length and strength while understanding leverage points he truly could stress any offensive lineman's anchor. This year he played primarily outside but did reduce down at times and delivered 6 sacks, 10.5 TFLs and tons of pressures this season. Here is the CRAZY thing, Van Ness played out of a reserve role and nearly never as a starter "per say". That is why his potential explodes to me more than many prospects I've studied in recent memory. That is why it is so incredibly special to think this much success is really just scratching the surface of the guy's potential. Being a underclassmen that recently declared I'm telling you right now IGNORE the draft engines saying he is going to be there late 3rd or even 4th rounds....IGNORANT, the whole lot of them.
