People who are predisposed to be optimistic about Love can find plenty in his profile to make them excited. People who are predisposed to be pessimistic about Love can find plenty in his profile to make them dismissive. A homer will tell you that only the good things from his career are relevant and that he's going to become a star in Green Bay, no doubt about it-- because they want to believe that. An anti-homer will tell you only the bad things from his career are relevant and that's going to be a total bust in Green Bay, no doubt about it-- because they're butt hurt and want to throw a fit. Despite the latter telling you he's objective, he's just a irrational as the former. The front office clearly thought he was worth the investment. QB was not an immediate need. They could have waited a year and still had time to find an heir apparent. They chose to move up and get Love. So they are clearly bullish on him. He's going to be in the pipeline for 1-2 years, and then we will see. If they were right, they solved the biggest issue facing the organization for the next decade plus at a pretty low cost. If they were wrong, they unnecessarily made it a little bit harder for Rodgers to win a Super Bowl before he's finished.
