    Packers release RB Knile Davis

Eh. He's roughly equivalent to Starks for me so I'm not going to get too excited by this but I do find it somewhat telling that Ted's made this move instead of going with a PS player for the duration of Starks' absence. This is either the move of a man who still holds out hope for this season...

the 3 or 4 biggest reasons for loss imho

Shields isn't the only one. The DBs have all been dropping INTs all season. It's so frustrating and you have to wonder how much that's cost us.

    Who do we re-sign

I'm keeping Neal, Crosby, Kuhn and probably Starks (though I'm not as high on him as I was this time last year). I'd like to keep Perry and Hayward but I suspect other teams will be willing to give them more money. I'm not sure about Jones. He can be a good weapon but Janis and Abbrederis...

    Sorry State of NFL Officiating

That doesn't make it acceptable. I don't know if you're saying it does, but a lot of people say that when bad officiating is brought up in an attempt to excuse it. Just doesn't cut it for me.

    James Jones is a Packer

The impression I have of James Jones is that he drops a lot of routine passes. If anyone has the numbers I'd be interested to know if that's based on reality. Just food for thought: Reggie Wayne is also likely to be available.

Packers to call on Reggie Wayne

Fortunately, James Jones will be dropping routine passes in a NY Giants uniform this year. I'm hearing some chat about Moss, though. My heart says great, but my head wonders how good he'll be at 38 after three years away from the game. It's weird how much I like the guy considering he played...

    Jordy Nelson injury

I'm in full on denial mode. He walked off the field fine, so he's okay.

    One or two?

With the line, RB, QB and receivers we have, we should really be able to convert more often than not. Hell, why not stick BJ in as a lead blocker! The problem is that the teams against whom it's likely to make a key difference are usually those with the best defenses. Do I trust us to be able...

Reporter from USA Today-gives Pack rank 28 for draft

8.9 yards above the league average while playing against Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski and Greg Olsen doesn't actually sound all that bad to me. My primary concern is for the defense to stop the run, and it sounds like Jake Ryan can help us do that.

Report: Raiders to Cut Ties With James Jones

    Terrible hands. No thanks

    Jake Ryan

I read he was good in zone coverage. How common is it that a LBer goes man to man rather than zone against a RB or TE?

    Making sense of our picks

In terms of talent, the draft is more than half over. And we're not as strong at pass rusher as we should be if Clay's inside.

    Making sense of our picks

There's a difference between "taking value into account before need" and ignoring a glaring need in both free agency and the early rounds of the draft. I hope you're right and I hope he's right, but am I comfortable relying on a late round gamble starting at ILB from day one? Not one bit I...

    Making sense of our picks

All I know about Montgomery is that he has suspect hands and I HATE receivers that can't catch. Rollins was a guy I wanted before the draft, though, so I'm happy with that and I like Randall's speed and ball skills. Did we need both of them, though? I just can't understand why Ted didn't take...
