I like Pierre Strong Jr. He has had a heck of a Camp also what kept him here. He’s also got the College accolades, he was a man among boys.
MLF certainly has to get him ready. Can he bounce outside better than what we have seen so far? Can we use him on passing downs? Athleticism certainly is paramount but knowing what to do when is why we miss Jacobs and his keen instincts like how to help your QB.

This guy is built different. You get a sense of why he ran for 40 TD’s in college. He’s very fast snd shifty and that’s needed in today’s game. If you get even a small crease it’s imperative to hit it first. He’s also pretty impressive in the short passing game.

Well, right away it makes me think of Ahman Green in so many ways. A small crease and the guy could be gone.

Honestly....bring Jamaal Williams back to the PS and see what he does. He has shed some weight this offseason and is looking for a home.
While I liked Jamaal I don’t think we’d bring a 31.6 year old RB back. He really hasn’t done anything substantial since 2022. That’s 4 years ago. Dude since 2022 he’s rushed for 460 yards at 3.3 per carry and 2 TD’s. With last year off in its entirety.

As the season goes we could fall into that need to just to get through. Unless Samkon Gado wants to suit up.

We can rightfully say that Tampa wasn’t quite the pushover we all thought. Their D just held a good Dallas Offense to 16 points.
Bowles should’ve taken the FG to go up 17 points spread, but Tampa was fortunate and still Wins. This is why I say you can’t just expect to lay down for teams based on records. That stuff all goes out the window on game day.

GB needs to Win 1 of the next 2 and we are very much alive.

As much as I hate MLF, the coaches in the NFL might literally be remedial. How can they make the most idiotic decisions all the time. Todd Bowles not kicking a field goal there is criminal.

Should have kicked the 3. But Dallas has enough to sulk about. Hope they play that bad against us.

Yep. I totally understood the temptation to try for 6 points. It would’ve all but ended the game. I just don’t think Dallas was going to score 3 TD’s and hold Tampa to 0 points inside 8 minutes to play.

Really? You understood going for 6? It was stupidity at its finest.

And then Dallas going for 2? Another dumb move. Analytics are its own kind of dumb

Bowles probably felt the impending doom. It comes from being 0-4 and Murphy's Law staring you in the face.

Well the announcers said real time that the analytics said to Kick a FG there. Calling both angles dumb doesn’t make a lick of sense to me though.

Anyone know why Golden and Melton were returning kicks instead of Skyy Moore in the second half? Just curious.

Melton was always one of the two KR. I don't know who joined him after Moore went down. That's also why I think Bo's targets went up. Good time for Savion to be returning to the roster. I had hoped Bo would be a trade candidate at this point. Dang injuries.

Your stance in disagreeing heavily was in full support of the analytics mentioned by the announcers, which called for going up 3 scores here (taking a FG). Personally I liked Matt’s aggressive approach trying to go up 3 TD’s. That was game there at the 1 yard line. Get a yard and go home. Not to mention our FG kicker misses XPA! LOL
And then Dallas going for 2? Another dumb move. Analytics are its own kind of dumb
This infers you believe analytics are dumb (stupidity and dumb were clearly your words not mine) You just agreed with analytics in the previous post calling Matt (and me) using stupidity at its finest…. and then in the very next breath? called analytics dumb.
What does that mean? Calling both angles dumb
The above on face value is very clearly you taking both angles while calling 1 dumb (analytics). In attempt to dismiss my post for agreeing with our Coach with a rebuttal above.. (about understand Matt’s thought of nailing the coffin and going up 3 TD’s). Then you agreed that analytics were sometimes dumb, which is exactly agreeing with my original post (going for a TD was against analytics).
I have zero problem with you taking both sides of arguments in general, but it’s insincere to use it to dismiss a poster (see post 1 above)

The best part is we still Won either Way and Matt tried to close out that game early, which I don’t blame him after allowing teams to inch their way back with 6 minutes left. We either support being assertive or we support playing it safe. We’re at the 1 yardline. Cmon we gotta quit being scared to get a yard at the goalline. Champions always try to get a yard to Win

The above is what I’m taking about. Maybe I’m reading your post wrong but on face value it’s taking both angles while calling 1 dumb (analytics)
I'm sick of analytics and all the damn percentages and off the wall stats. And if you can't just know how stupid that going for it was; there is not much point in discussing it.

Sounds like there’s lots of Sick and Stupid and Dumb assertions from you (maybe after the outcome when it’s playing it safe).

Btw, I’m about near positive Ben Johnson or Kevin O’Connell or Dan Campbell would also go for it on 4th and 1 and up 16 points to put the game away. So while you are entitled to call them all dumb decision-Makers, it’s how you Win football games challenging situational analytics in real time. I’d similarly expect they’d disagree with you

PS. The game is over and we Won. I think that pretty much sums it up who had better ideas!
