1. Born in WI but grew up in KY as a Bengals fan. Moved back to WI in late 1983 at the same time that Forrest Gregg moved from Cincy to GB. Had to watch to see if he could build the same kind of team that he had there. 2. Watching the Pack through the 80s showed a lot about Packer fans. Like Cub fans and golden retreivers, they are loyal no matter what may happen. 3. Went to college in Chicago in the late 80s. No better way to get under the skin of a 1980s Bears fan than for the Pack to win (or even come close) to beating da Bears. (Amazing the points they would give betting on Bear/Packer games. Had one that was arrogant enough to give me 28 points.) 4. Went to my first Packer game in Milwaukee (Majik's first start -- against Denver). From that time until now, the Packers have been the most exciting team to watch -- win or lose, they ALMOST always seem to have a chance in the 4th quarter. 5. Brett -- what can you say about him. He has extraordinary talent and a drive to win. But, unlike the TO and a lot of the others who think they are God's gift to the world just because they can play a game, Brett is no different than the guy next door. He has the same problems as we do. On any other team or in any other city, I do not think that Brett would still be playing. Brett and Green Bay are a perfect match. So, maybe in a way, Brett IS God's gift -- to Green Bay.
