The crazy part is we’ve lost the last several games against these opponent Win/Loss records Losses: 2 pts (2-5) 4 pts (3-4) 14 pts (5-2) 1 pt (3-4) Wins: 1 pt (2-4) 18 pts (2-5) We’re dysfunctional, but not at some level that can’t be alleviated at all. I think sometimes we (myself especially) get too caught up in the emotional level of losing. We were likely a Elgton Jenkins 10 yard penalty from at least a close Win yesterday. 3rd and 10 from the Denver 44 and we are 5+ yards gained from over a 50% go ahead score with a 55 yarder. We’ve several self inflicted wounds (not all Love) in several games this year and at the worst times. While Jordan played his part? Before that last failed FG drive pressuring him to save the day on a 3rd n forever? Jordan was 21/30 70.0% passing 2 TD 0 INT 180 yards 103.2% Passer rating Really not a bad day, just a bad play throwing a duck under pressure. A check down away from a go ahead FG try. Let Carlson redeem himself for missing one. Now he sits all week with this crap. I still say Matt needed to get together with Love on that last play and Coach him up. I also said then (see live thread) we should’ve went for it on 4th and 4 at the Denver 24 We could’ve went up 7-6 at the half and Denver likely never sniffs another possession. That decision was a -10 point swing and a wash 0 even if we made that FG. If we can’t get 4 yards for a go ahead 7-6 score in a season we haven’t scored a TD in the first half in 4 straight games? If we can’t get 4 yards to win? go down swinging for 3.5 yards. We missed a huge opportunity to end this streak of misery. If we’re afraid of getting 3 yards in that scenario against #32 ranked Denver? Then imo we are not very confident in our team, after a wonderful drive nonetheless. Matt is a good coach as far as micro play design and camaraderie, but he’s too timid there on a beautiful O drive after where we’ve been stuck and the macro play design has been also lacking. I’d be running a 2 minute offense and going on any 4th n 2 or less once past the 50 until I score a TD. What am I afraid of. Losing? Are we 2-4 or am I just imagining that
