I must still be a little jaded in my opinion because of the years between Ahman Green and Eddie Lacy being so sketchy... I would like to see the win record during those 5 games where one of them missed a game? Also it doesnt figure in the games where one was injured but able to play, while not being as effective. I think 1/4 of Lacys 2015 season falls in that category... I am not at all saying Lacy/Starks is not a worthy duo. Those two, at this stage... Starks seemingly peaking late, and looking better than he ever has. And the young prized work horse, who is ready to earn his big boy pay check, after some growing pains... On a passing team, they are more than enough. They are awesome... But one goes down at any point of the season? First half would be bad because there is most the season left to play... The second half is bad because we dont have the ability to find a replacment...1/2 the time the #3 gets his first work load, and breaks down...Things tend to get ugly fast... Strategically. And with the fact RBs take a beating. And I like my RBs to give a beating... I would have 3 starter quality RBs on the roster. If you are too concerned with wasting talent on the bench, Get a diverse group. Right now we are missing a tough, quick, scat back. Or we could go heavy and add a hammer to help Lacy pound it. But right now, starks does a pretty good job at helping Lacy... If Lacy Starks were both sitting on 4 year deals. I wouldnt be as forward thinking... But guaranteed Starks has 2 years left at very most... Lacy and Ted might have different views on #27s value, next year when he becomes a FA. THEN WHAT!?!?!? Its time to add a RB worth having now... And then worst case scenario we enter training camp with 3 RBs... Honestly Montgomery and Cobb both look great out of the backfield... I always forget that part.
