Since the magical Super Bowl run (with 2 great games in domes and 2 subpar games at Philly & at Chicago) Rodgers has 6 touchdowns in 4 playoff games and is 1-3. 23-year old QB Andrew Luck has 731 passing yards, 4 TD passes, and a historically clutch 4th-quarter comeback win in only 2 playoff games. Not bad. Colin Kaepernick has 1,025 passing yards & 2 4th-quarter rallies in 4 playoff games +plus 362 rushing yards (most of them against us sadly). Rodgers has 972 passing yards in his last 4 playoff games, 3 losses & the 1 playoff win over Joe Webb's Vikings. Since winning the Super Bowl 3 seasons ago, the Packers are 17-49 (35%) on 3rd-down conversions in the playoffs. Yesterday they were 3-11 with failures coming at the end of the first half (poor execution and time management), and their last drive of the game (poor play calls and execution). Both times we settled for short FG's after not cashing in for touchdowns. Big points left on the table. During the Super Bowl season playoffs, Rodgers converted 24 of 49 (49%) third downs. That's a big difference and we've often heard it said "games are won on 3rd downs." The Niners with Kaptain Kaepernick were 6-12 yesterday, plus 1-1 on 4th down. In close games, those differences matter. How much blame does Rodgers deserve for the 3 early exits? Be honest here. I've seen some great discussion today elsewhere on this subject. Touchy though. Woo. He's been just decent -in the postseason- since that Super Bowl game 3 years ago. No, he hasn't had any Brett Favre moments though, throwing a game away at the end. Somewhere, despite his own miseries, I think Greg Jennings and his sister are smiling.
