No, it doesn't mean I didn't take my green and gold glasses off. Give a reason for saying that. I did not give subjective evaluations, I gave simple facts. If I have 0 starts and am considered good enough that there is even the possibility of not retaining a HoFer and last season's MVP runner up, that is how I would feel. Your scenario talks all about "the guy in front of me", that's Favre. How am I supposed to forget about Favre when you're asking me about how I feel about the guy in front of me starting, as though it would be the same thing if Gus Frerotte or Kyle Orton were starting during your 4th season. If Orton starts over you in your 4th season then the franchise thinks you are not their future QB. That's an overwhelming reason to switch teams. If Favre at near-MVP level starts over you, it doesn't mean that at all. He is ours for up to three years and if he's going to hold a grudge, it's going to be a long slog for him. Unless he threatens to retire or is a fragile person who is going to hold a grudge forever, it should blow over. Whether he wants to go somewhere else at the start of this season isn't the issue, the issue is whether he will actually go someplace else. He wanted to be drafted higher and he wanted to play three years ago. Life's not fair, at least he has millions of dollars. Spending the next 2-3 years with our solid OL and sick receiving corps can heal a lot. Bottom line for me: I only see why Rodgers will be temporarily pissed and disappointed. Getting from there to him refusing to resign is a big step. If he had handled the last three years poorly then I'd be more likely to agree with you.
