Fans And Hunters Are Sporting The Orange With Nearly 12,000 Caps Purchased Thus Far
The Green Bay Packers' "Hunting Down Hunger" orange caps are proving to be a popular item for fans thus far this season, with nearly 12,000 sold. Proceeds from the cap sales will support the effort to fight hunger in Wisconsin communities.
"Fans have been very enthusiastic about the caps," said Kate Hogan, Packers director of retail operations. "We've had a lot of hunters purchase caps, too, with bow season underway and gun season right around the corner. We're pleased with sales thus far."
Through sales of three styles of hunter orange hats with the Packers' 'G,' two baseball caps, one orange and one with a camouflage pattern, and an orange cold-weather knit hat, the team will raise money for donation to statewide pantries, shelters and other organizations that have programs supporting hunger relief.
