The Packers are just the seventh team in NFL history to win 18 straight games.</p><p> </p><p>-Boomer Esiason of CBS Sports said that he believes the Packers will meet the Patriots in the Super Bowl.</p><p> </p><p>"Tom Brady’s done it a lot longer than Aaron Rodgers has," <a href="http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports/newengland/football/patriots/2011/12/05/boomer-esiason-on-dc-patriots-on-track-to-meet-packers-in-super-bowl/" target="_blank">Esiason said on the Dennis & Callahan show Monday morning on WEEI in Boston</a>. "If you just look at the body of work, I will tell you that Tom’s three Super Bowls still weigh heavily on his side. I’ll always look at those Super Bowls as saying that this will be one of the greatest quarterbacks to have ever played, especially if he can get to a fourth one. I still say it’s going to be New England and the Packers meeting up in Indianapolis. Obviously, only time will tell. Neither team has a great defense, by the way."</p><p> </p><p>-According to those who keep track, <strong>Aaron Rodgers</strong> recorded his sixth career game-winning drive of his career Sunday. That stat doesn't necessarily indicate what happened in the other 33 games which he has won as a starting NFL QB.</p><p> </p><p>Concerning the 5-play 68-yard 0:58 drive Rodgers had this to say after the game<a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/don_banks/12/04/packers.giants/index.html#ixzz1fgXXpL2H" target="_blank">, via SI.com</a>:</p><p> </p><p>"We've had a number of games this year where we've won by a couple of scores and been kneeling down on the last possession of the game. But to get the ball on the 20, backed up under a minute, and get down there and get it to chip-shot field goal range is very special.''</p><p> </p><p>-<strong>Mike McCarthy </strong>was asked about the drops by the Packers wide receivers Sunday.</p><p style="text-align: left"></p><p>"We dropped some passes today, but we caught them when it counted," the Packers coach explained.</p><p> </p><p>"This wasn’t our best performance. A lot of points on the board. We had adversity football. And our offense stepped up and nailed it shut when we needed it. We were happy to get out of here with a win. We knew this was going to be a tough one, we talked about it all week coming in here. This is a class organization, this is a tough stage to play in. It was a tough game, I’m sure it was a fun game to watch."</p><p> </p><p><strong>Jermichael Finley</strong> had three dropped passes, and <strong>Greg Jennings</strong> also dropped a pass.</p><p>Both receivers bookended the Packers game-winning drive. Finley caught a 24-yard reception on the opening play and Jennings caught a pass for 18-yards which set up<strong> Mason Crosby's</strong> 30-yard field goal.</p><p> </p><p>Rodgers wasn't happy about the drops.</p><p> </p><p>"Drops are part of the game, they are going to happen, it’s just frustrating when they are having a direct impact on a drive. … I don’t know how many we officially had [Sunday], but more than is acceptable,”<a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-cole_aaron_rodgers_green_bay_packers_giants120411" target="_blank"> Rodgers said via Yahoo Sports.</a></p><p> </p><p>Rodgers' passer rating of <span style="font-family: 'Georgia'"><span style="color: #333333">106.2 was the first time it was below 110 this season. Now, when Rodgers drops back to pass, he does not look for his receivers. He looks for defenders, where they are, where they might move, what that means or could mean. Then he throws for receivers headed toward open space.."</span></span></p><p> </p><p>-<strong>Mason Crosby</strong> had not made a game winning kick since Week 1 of the 2007 season prior to Sunday's game-winner.</p><p> </p><p>-Injuries included <strong>James Starks</strong> with an ankle sprain, <strong>Charles Woodson</strong> with a concussion and <strong>Andrew Quarless</strong> with a significant knee sprain (Video of Quarless' injury can be seen <a href="http://www.sportsgrid.com/nfl/andrew-quarless-injury-video/" target="_blank">here</a>.) McCarthy noted that Qaurless' injury was "significant". Woodson suffered the concussion in the 4th quarter and his status will be determined this week.<strong> Sam Shields</strong> played for Woodson and likely would see time if Woodson can't go against Oakland next Sunday. Starks' injury is the same ankle he tweaked Nov. 20 against Tampa Bay.</p><p> </p><p>-The Packers defense gave up 447 yards of total offense and the Giants averaged 7.3 yards per play on offense.
