My lord. No running back on the roster is gonna save this team. The team is not built to run the ball. We have ONE plus run blocker among our specialists, and our Oline is built to pass protect. No fullback, or anyone capable of playing the position. Given we're an outdoor, Midwest team - you might think that is a bad idea. I do. You guys really think any team gives a crap about our RUN game? Easy to get nice YPC numbers against a 6-man box. Everyone who matters knows we can't run it when it counts. Check the red-zone and short yardage stats and educate yourself. This team isn't going to do anything this year. Keep deluding yourselves if you like. I can still enjoy watching the games, but anyone who thinks we're a player or a play call away is gonna have a really hard time keeping up with all their gripe posts. Make sure you take breaks to avoid carpal tunnel. Hydrate between beers. I wonder if we can win another Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers. History and my gut says no. He is a massively unbalancing force on the team, and can't be controlled by any coach. The stalling of the offense is all Rodgers, passing up open looks to try for a big play. Is he a coach-killer now? The difference between Rodgers and Brady is that Brady plays within a system. That's why Brady is successful, and by and large Rodgers is not. I don't think firing MM makes a difference. And we don't have a replacement for Rodgers like the 9'ers did for Montana. Probably our only hope is a couple MAJOR personnel additions to dilute Rodgers influence on the team. Kahlil Mack was an unfortunate missed opportunity for that. And those opportunities just don't come around that often. TLDR: The Packers are trending downwards, and there simply isn't an easy fix. Now let's queue up the absolute mouth-breathers talking about how they won't give up or settle, as if anything about them means anything to anyone or matters in any way to the outcome of an NFL game. I always love those posts. Hey, I love the Packers and it sucks that they are not good. Oh well. I'll put my rantbox away and you guys can pick apart my post if you like. Give you something to do for the bye week. :)
