We know Chicago and GB have similar records: Assuming both teams beat detroit, and Chicago beats the vikings, and if GB beats them last game of the season that would be IMO If and Chicago win out till then, my math says they are equal records going into that last game. Am I wrong? Gb has @ATL, SF, @Detroit, @NE, NY, CHI left on the schedule CHI has PHIL, @DET, NE, @MINN, NYJ, @GB Of those games there are three games on each schedule that could be loses for either team: GB: @ATL, @NE, NYG CHI: PHI, NE, NYJ But let's presume for a moment that both teams win out that will put them at 12-3 tied going into that game. Winner of that game IMO wins the division on strength of Regular Season record. right? Okay let's look at non division records here Who has GB played in the NFC: PHI W WAS L DAL W ATL (W) SF (W) NYG (W) Chicagot has played DAL W NYG L CAR W SEA L WAS L PHI (W) Now among the common opponents, if somehow we lost a game and still beat Chicago tieing up the conference well... Among common Opponets PHI GB:W, CHI: (W) DAL Both Won NYG GB:(W) CHI: (L) Now let's suppose that we did lose to NYG, then wouldn't the tie breaker come down to conferenec wins and losses? We'd have 2 losses, they'd have 3 (outside of the division mind you) I just do't see how chicago beats us for the division, if we lose one or win out. I just don't see the math. Am I wrong? However, I don't see Chicago winning out till us anyways. I see NE and Phily both beating the snot out of them. Maybe the Jets too.
