Can't find any word on him this week. He's been practicing and the roster is at 52, so I'm not sure why we wouldn't activate him. They could still do that today, correct? If he is activated, do people think he'll get meaningful snaps? His versatility could give us a nice boost, but I wonder if...

They played on D like they always do, which is way better than any team in the league according to almost any metric. We'll have to agree to disagree there. Agree to agree on their offense ;)

This is tough for me, because he has looked terrible at times this season, but it's hard for me to say he's the problem, because this team would've been as bad or worse with most QBs in the league. That being said, we pay him more than any QB so he needs to deliver. Agree with your main takeaway...

Their offense is limited because Trubisky isn't very good, but he does enough. They're in a weird situation where he's just good enough that they're not going to be looking for a replacement any time soon, but that might keep them from reaching their potential long-term. I know we're all bitter...

Hate to say it, but the Bears are pretty damn good. Easily the best D in the league. Agree that Rodgers really should've hit Cobb on those overthrows, and MVS had a step, but that was about 60 yards in the air, and not one you'd expect anyone to drop in stride (maybe Mahomes with his cannon)...

Random question here. Next season we play the NFC East and the AFC West. That means our “position” games are against the NFC South and the NFC West. Does anyone know which position game would be home and which would be away? Is that unknown at this point?

First of all, that likely wouldn’t be decided until week 17, so they wouldn’t know their potential matchup. Secondly, the cowboys already beat the Saints once. There’s a non-zero chance that the bears could play the cowboys in the NFC championship. I bet they’d feel pretty dumb if they rested...

You’re overthinking this. If the 3/4 seed is still up in the air in week 17, the bears will be playing to win.

Yeah, the record could definitely be worse. And even in my "what if" scenario above, this team was never sniffing an NFC championship game, let alone a Super Bowl. I'd still argue that any team with Aaron Rodgers *near* his prime shouldn't be this far back in the playoff hunt. A lot of coaches...

Sure. I know what you mean. This team has some serious deficiencies, which is why we lost the cited games. But if we were 8-5 or 8-4-1 with a 2 to 3 game lead on the loser of Monday night's game, we'd be in pretty solid shape.
