Saints just goofed hard by releasing him, IMO.

Good Addition or No?

He'd be a good weapon in the run and pass game and he could possibly take over return duties for Cobb.

Would it be worth it? Can we afford him?

Randall Cobb is our Sproles.
But younger.

And there's Jonathan Franklin and DuJuan Harris, 2 more jitterbug types who are much younger and cheaper.

If he wasn't so expensive he'd add a whole new dimension to the offense and special teams. He'd be a great toy for the offense and catch a ton of balls out of the backfield. It would be cool, but a luxury.

I don't think think you can compare Cobb to Sproles, honestly. Let alone Harris or Franklin (even though he hadn't seen much action last season. Sproles is much more versatile IMO. Not to knock Cobb at all. He's a great receiver, but he can't do what Sproles does when it comes to running and evading defenders.

1. We have 3 RBs
2. Franklin was drafted to be our Sproles
3. Too expensive
4. Age
