I hate to start another thread, but everyone saying we need X speedy/burner WR or a "Tier 1/Top" WR or Pro Bowl caliber guy, I think it's a bunch of BS.

Obviously losing Adams is big, but you all realize we can duplicate and SURPASS his production right?

So the past 3 seasons, AR has averaged about 370 completions, ~4300yards and 37 touchdown passes...

Obviously the receptions from Adams will have to be distributed to others, so I see it kind of like....

Cobb 50 catches 550-600 yards, 5 touchdowns
Lazard 50 catches 600-650 yards, 6 touchdowns
Tonyan 50 catches 600-650 yards, 6 touchdowns
Deguara 20 catches 250-300 yards, 2 touchdowns
A. Jones 50 catches 550-600 yards, 4 touchdowns (receiving)
Dillon 30 catches 350 yards, 3 touchdowns (receiving)
Vet FA WR 50 catches 550-600 yards, 6 touchdowns
RookWR1 40 catches 450-500 yards, 4 touchdowns (*this could ALSO be a VetWR)
RookWR2 40 catches 450-500 yards, 4 touchdowns

Total around ~380 catches, ~4350+ yards, 40 touchdowns

* i did NOT include Amari in any projections... and I believe that these are pretty REALISTIC and REASONABLE numbers...

This is why I have stated before that AR could potentially have a BETTER year actually lol

Well, yes, if pretty much everyone on your roster that is capable of catching a ball matches or exceeds their career highs, and you add 3 as-yet unknown players that all manage to put up 500+ yards and 4+ TDs, you will be in pretty good shape.

The Packers have been behind the times at pass catcher for a while now. Theyre the new RBs in terms of being the way to move the ball down the field. They not only need to be able to get open but be playmakers and gain YAC. Anything is possible in the regular season. Once you get to the playoffs the WRs need to be able to get open. Defenses get away with more in coverage. They can be more physical, less holding/PI calls, etc...

It shouldnt come as a surprise the Rams won the SB while consistently loading on WR talent. The year before the Buccs were stacked across the board 1-5 at WR and 1-3 at TE. Both teams made the moves in season to help bring in playmakers that could get open and make players miss in OBJ and AB. Even the Bengals in the playoffs were stacked at WR.

You need two legitimate pass catchers to advance in the playoffs. Lazard had one of the worst WR performances Ive ever seen from a Packer in a playoff game in the 2021 NFCC and was below average in the 2022 game.

Now we are in position to have a rookie play that #1 or have Amari Rodgers turn into Kupp in his sophomore year.
