The Lynx comeback over Golden State on Wednesday night was a classic example of a young team with spunk getting the jump on a top team, but losing in the end to a veteran team.

The Aces/Storm games was great at the end, and so was the Fever/Dream.

My SIL lives outside of San Francisco and sent me a video she got from a co-worker at the Lynx/Valkaries game. It was a sell-out crowd of over 18,000 fans. In fact, they sold out every home game this season. We will see how it shakes out in the long run, but it's good to see fans taking to a womens' sport.

I've gotten into it. Admittedly because I wanted to see how Caitlin Clark handled the next level after what she was doing at Iowa in college. I wasn't alone on that. There were a lot of people who became interested when she ended up in the league.

Since then I've pretty much becomes a Fever fan. They're a tenacious group of young women. All those injuries and still being alive in the playoffs. Pretty amazing.

I've also added on watching other games and I think the level of play has really gotten a lot better than it was a few years back. Of course this seems to irritate people like Greiner who thinks she's supposed to be treated like royalty.

The biggest problem the league has is the inconsistency by officials in making calls. They need to get control over that situation if they want to maintain credibility.

I have a TON of respect for the Fever this season. Even making the playoffs was amazing for the crazy amount of injuries to their stars and starters. For them to get to the semi-finals and now win game one is the stuff of legends.

You've pretty much nailed it on the head. I would say that they have already built credibility around their players, and making progress with the playoff format, but still have more work to do.

I recorded and watched yesterday's game against Las Vegas. The Fever are really putting it together and playing as a team. No matter what happens at this point, next year has a lot of promise because they've found some highly competitive players that other teams have moved on from, and are hungry. They're going to be solid top to bottom.

The Fever played great today in Indianapolis. They're really surprising people. I think the string runs out on Tuesday night in Las Vegas and they lose their playoff 3-2. They've turned what could have been a total disaster for a season into a pretty darned good run to make it to the semi-finals.

Even after all the complaints and videos showing how poorly games are officiated, the officials couldn't get it right today either. It's too bad the league has to have such sloppy people on the job.
