Let me put in a more simple perspective for some of you guys so maybe you can understand and see the light. Yes, we need defensive help but I really dont see anybody that will be there at 14 who is gonna magically turn the defense around and make some game changing impact. Yes, there is a hope and a prayer Derwin James will slip to us but the reality is that it isnt gonna happen. Sorry guys. We need to trust Pettine that he can get more out of what we have with the addition of Mo Wilk and get some supplemental players in day 2 that arent far off from what we could get at 14. Our offense is our "bread and butter" and right now it goes Adams, Graham, Cobb and Allison. Sorry guys but GMO is a 4 or a 5. While I like him he is a slug and isnt gonna win too many 50/50 balls. If we would of landed or do land Jordan Matthews then we would probably be okay. If we don't that takes us to Courtland Sutton who has an all around skill set unlike any other receiver in the draft. He fits perfectly in with what we already have and all Crosby would be doing is kicking extra points because we would be virtually unstoppable in the redzone. Gotta keep the wheels on the "Ferrari" turning. Lasty you need to understand the rule changes in the league and how it affects defenses. With the way the rules are being tilted there isnt a corner in the draft thats all the sudden is gonna come in and make some magical difference. Its all about pass rush and that has become the league wide emphasis. Ted Thompson drafted some real bums as far as DB's go. The Seahawks drafted Shaquille Griffen last year in the 3rd round who is a promising press corner. You dont need to draft them in the 1st round. Just Score Baby!
