I’ve never noticed a lack of interest in being a complete player. Nor have I read that about him. If he’s a character concern, then that might be a good reason to pass. I'm just not aware of that being the case. If you are, I'm all ears. To be clear, I'm not comparing him to Von Miller, the pro. I'm comparing the prospects. Coming out, Miller was very similar to Landry and not just athletically (though there is that). They both had significantly better seasons the year before their last one. And Miller had some similar concerns as a run defender, specifically in handling drive blocking heads up (which is super normal for these ~250 lb edge players in college). Like Landry, he was much better as a chase and tackle run defender. If they were in the same class, Miller would certainly be the higher rated prospect, but they are pretty similar. Beasley is an even closer comparison in my opinion. Both Landry and Beasley are speed rushers who don't (or didn't, in the latter's case) have much of a plan as a pass rusher beyond winning outside. Landry is marginally thicker and stronger at the POA and Beasley was marginally more athletic. Beasley went 8th. But yes, the sig bet sounds fun. Some questions: 1. Shouldn't we do 5.25 sacks? Because 5.5 is actually possible. 2. What happens if we're half right? If he goes 20th and has 5 sacks or if he goes 30th and has 8 sacks, who wins? 3. We need some sort of injury caveat, like he plays in 15 games or something like that.
