First off, let me say this, out of all the NFC teams, there is no team that I as a steeler fan respect, and fear more than the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers is looking to be an absolutely devastating elite NFL QB, and he is going to be dangerous to us. If you guys play how the Saints, or the Patriots played us, it will be a long game. The defenses appear to be absolute mirror images in design, but... their are differences statwise, but hey, stats dont matter all that much, its any given sunday. (My differences being your pass D is much better than ours, and our run defense is better (dont mean it arrogantly, but number one run D does speak for itself.) I think it will be a memorable game, and most likely win or lose, i think i will have a great time watching it, and understanding it for how it will be looked at in the future. One thing I would like to address however, is all the heat I see given to Ben Roethlisberger, while I think that his actions are inexcuseable, *Your an NFL quarterback, going out partying was the wrong thing to do*, i have read all the evidence and gave an open mind to the whole thing. There are a couple of things to be taken into consideration, and I was ready to throw him under the bus, and be done with him, burn his jersey and all, but this is what i came across. 1. The girl had followed him all night, leaving when he left, and going to the next bar he was at. 2. She said it was ... ugh, how can i say this PG... unprotected, yet there was less than a billionth of a gram of DNA, and it belonged to another man she had "relations" with about an hour earlier in the night. 3. She had a name tag on saying DTF (Down to.....), while this can just be classified as nothing, it does speak to this females character. 4. She was so drunk, when the police officer said "Where you sexually assaulted" She said no. When he asked "Did the two of you have "relations" she said, i dont think so, im not sure. All i mean buy this is, please, dont give in to the media, there are things that they purposely dont tell you, because guess what, the dirty stuff sells. Plus, Ben's story is one of the ones made public. there are many other ****** assault cases out there, you just dont hear about them, most of which, looking for a paycheck. Mark Sanchez Charged with ****** asssault while in USC. Shaun Rodgers, browns player, brought a gun on an airplane, not even suspended. Ray Lewis, he was a part of 2 murders, got off due to testifying against 2 of his life long friends and pleaing down to probation. Heck, there was a story about the packers (and no i dont believe it, im just saying, the media does what it can for attention) If we are to crucify one player, (i was about to with Ben), shouldnt we crucify all athletes accused of crimes? And what do we do if they are Charged, and then, how should we react when found guilty is all I am saying. Im not liking Ben off the field, but to call him a rapi-st, thug, or criminal i find a bit harsh, because he has a. not been charged with a sexuall assault (cant really say rap-ist) b. never been charged with a crime, so technically not a criminal. I will say this, ben was a horrible teammate, and arrogant person giving into his newfound starpower, he felt invincible. (He won his first 15 games as a starter) the team was 15-1 his rookie season, and went to the afc championship game, yeah, that would make me a self centered person, egoistic, feeling like god. I just wanted to show, not all steelers fans are dumb and arrogant, or uninformed. Im sorry if i offended someone. But heres to a great game! I think this will be a memorable one, i have that feeling. :happy0005:
