Can I say Harrington? I mean seriously, he is a terrible QB, and with him at the helm how could the Pack not win? But in reality, I say Nick Barnett. He is the new leader of the D, has enormous talent and potential, is motivated and hard working. I think a leader needs to emerge from all the chaos of a D that Slo made, and I think that leader is Barnett. So I think we see him come out big here and make some nice plays!

I am going to go with Green. He is in a contract year and I think he may try for a strong showing out of the gate. Of course, if it comes down to the wire, you all know Longwell will be there to save the day. 8)

GO PACK!

LOL :D True. With Garcia out, the Lions are once again pinning their hopes on the very mediocre Harrington. On top of that their Defense is still poor. You can't score when you are watching from the sidelines.

Joey Thomas. I think he'll be the nickle back this week, but with a solid performance here and vs. Cleveland, he'll be starting vs. the Bucs.

I think it'll be Bubba he hasn't played yet so no one knows what the slimmer Bubba can do. I think they'll use him more this year. I would like to see Colin Cole get some significant playing time I think he could do some damage.

I am going to say Ahman Green. He will not fumble once this game and will have 2 TDs and 100 yds rushing.

Not s specific player, but I say our D-Backs have a great day. Hard hits, good cover, perhaps a loose ball generated or INT. They will make Joey Heatherton's (love that name!) day a long one.

IBPprez- "Otherwise-it'll be Javon Walker right out the gate... for da money!"

He said Walker! But that is ok, because he too will have a good game

Oops, my bad. Sorry IBP. Guess I'm a selective reader.

As long as the following 2 choices perform well we'll have a good game, otherwise, it will be brutal: Rueg and Whitt.
Go Pack

I say Sherman.

He makes some SOLID calls and decisions to pull this one out.

Packers win 27-21.

Nobody says Walker yet, eh? I bet he'll have a huge game against a very weak Detroit backfield.

pro bowler dre bly is gonna be on him, if he gets past bly then look out...

it's gonna be a tough game, slow first half, both teams get a feel for each other and, detroit is going to get a few scoring drives off of us, they're an improved team, kevin jones is going to emerge this season...but this is going to be the generic packers' script, favre's gonna catch fire, lead us for 2-3 decisive scoring drives in the second half and that will be the difference...

31-21 packers, tentative score pick

Paris Lenon

With Diggs out Lenon will step up and have 8 tackles and a sack. That is if he's preseason play was just a fluke. If not him i'll say Nick Collins or Will Whitticker.

Ummm, isn't it Klemm and Whitt that are starting?[/quote]

My bad. I didn't see where Sherm announce the starters yet. How about our 2 starting guards!

Yeah I knew you'd hit me if I said that...

That's OK. Somebody had to give him a boost.
