For those who don't know, I keep an eye on several draft sites with good history. From those I create a composite board. Players may have more talent or less than the composite but the general opinion helps avoid extremes or only one opinion.

In the area of the first round pick (3 lower and three higher) are the following players:

13. Hall Leon CB MI ?
14. Lynch Marshawn RB CAL ?
15. Moses Quentin DE GA
16. Landry LeRon FS LSU ?
17. Rice Sidney WR SC ?
18. Okoye Amobi DT Louisville
19. Willis Patrick ILB MS

One would expect half to not be there when the Packers draft (if they do not trade down).

For the second round I expanded the list a bit.

43. Siler Brandon ILB FL
44. Blades H.B. ILB Pittsburgh
45. Spencer Anthony DE Purdue
46. Alexander Rufus OLB OK
47. Staley Joe OT Cent MI
48.Everett Earl LB FL
49. Leonard Brian FB Rutgers ?
50. Smith Steve WR USC ?
51. Sears Arron OT TN
52. Higgins Johnnie WR UTEP ?
53. Bennett Fred CB S CAR ?

Again several of these players will be gone but which ones....

Then for the 3rd round:

Wright Eric CB
Free Doug OT
Harris Ryan OT
Williams Paul WR
Grubbs Ben OG
Wilson Josh CB
Bruce McKristo DE
Hill Jason WR
Johnson Michael S
Brown Tarell CB
Kolb Kevin QB
Stuckey Chansi WR
Gattis Josh FS
Satele Samson OG

These players are reasonably possible for the Packers. The Packers big board will look different from this one.

Note the only RB near where the Packers are drafting currently first day is Lynch.

Which of the CB's or WR's have kick return skills?

What if another team trades up ahead of the Packers to take a certain player?

These lists cannot assume a trade down.

i think meachem is worth a look, trade down, get an extra pick, and draft a 6'3 outside target

the second round board, the name that stands out is brian leonard, i'd take him

out of curiousity where is tony hunt on the overall board?

Whoa who has Eric Wright of UNLV in the 3rd round? He's at least a early 2nd round pick and maybe late 1st. His stock is rising and even scouts like Todd McShay is taking notice.

Tony Hunt I currently have at 65th overall or very early third round.

Porky, Eric Wright is currently 84th on Draft Countdown and 88th at another site. Great Blue North updated him to 38th on Thursday. That is still second round. 2nd or 3rd round is still a good prospect.

Again it is early, combine and Pro Days are yet to happen. I track sites to not go overboard on any one player.

There is something wrong if a web site tells you there are 50 1st round prospects in the draft.
