My memories are seeing them on TV and not in person as others have shared. Growing up we had like 3 TVs in the house and all of them were in B&W. And this was in the 70s. LOL. However we did have this tiny color non-cable portable which I would watch in my bed room. My friend was over and we tuned into a Packer game. I can't remember if we watched the whole thing or just the last few moments. Because all I remember was Chester Marcol, kicker during the 70's, was going to attempt a field goal against Da Bears. The kick was blocked. The loose ball ended up in Marcol's hands and he ran it in for the winning TD. (If anyone knows where footage of this is online or could upload to youtube, that would be sooooo awesome!) From wikipedia Chester Marcol may best be known for his game winning touchdown against the Chicago Bears in 1980. In the first week of the 1980 NFL season the Packers were tied with the Bears 6-6 in overtime. A 32-yard pass from Lynn ****ey to James Lofton helped set up a 34-yard attempt to win the game for the Packers. Marcol's kick was blocked and came straight back to his facemask. He caught the ball and ran around the startled Bears in what appeared to be sheer fright. Marcol was able to run 25 yards into the end-zone to give the Packers a 12-6 victory. I've never owned a TV. But when I started dating my gf I would go over to her house to watch the Pack. She doesn't get the NFL network so we ended up going to a neighborhood bar to watch them play Dallas. (This was the game when Favre was hurt and Rodgers took over.) It was the first time I had ever done anything like that. Every time the Pack got a first down, some dude would stand up and yell "That's another Green Bay Packer first down!" Even though the Pack lost, it was still fun watching being surrounded by other fans.
