Crosby's not a bad kicker. I think the main reason he wasn't able to make thpse clutch kicks is because of lack of confidence. You definitely saw what he could do in that seahawks game. He was kicking into the wind and still nabbed that 52 yarder. The skillset to become an elite kicker is definitely there. It's just up to him to mature and grow to realize the type of player he can be.

What I am concerned about is what type of info Shawn Slocum has been feeding him. Slocum refused to let Crosby speak to a kicking specialist and failed to coach him up the right way.
Well, MN and CHI in 08 will certainly tell you that they love Crosby...

I agree it's not just him. But he can't turn into that bum Longwell, and start blaming the holder, the wind...

He has to get that confidence up, train his brains out, and make those kicks he's able to make.

We can't lose our season because of a missed FG...

Be very careful. Green_Bay_Packers is going to make your life miserable LOL.

Haha, once he finds out someone is saying something negative about his dear Mason, all hell is gonna break loose!

TT and MM must have a lot of faith in Crosby. Maybe too much.I've always been advocating bringing someone else in, at least for some competition.

Yes, and Derrick Frost is the best punter we have ever had. Also, your sig picture of Mason made me LOL.

You can say what you want but then Ill delete your posts hahaha

Nah Im Joking I dont mind just dont be too ******* Mason Crosby :(

We are ******* him for a reason. He couldn't make a clutch kick to save his life. Seems like ever since he made that game winner in his first ever game against Philly in 07, it's been all down hill ever since.

Hopefully our biggest 'need' will be covered this year with A.) Shields B.) Starks or if anything Blackmon will be back.
also I think Crosby can turn it around, I hope anyway

I think either CB or OLB, sadly. I'd love to see Shields and Burnett to turn out great but its only gonna be their rookie seasons. But nobody truly knows how things will turn out.

Special Teams Coordinator.

Seriously everybody blames kapinos, If you watch you'll see that everytime we have a special teams play it's like you have to hold your breath and PRAY that we dont let them run it back for ridiculous yardage. Our Kick coverage has been HORRIBLE, wait, worse than horrible whatever that is. I can't even stomach to watch our special teams anymore, That goes for ALL SPECIAL TEAMS, returns, field goals, extra points, kick-offs, etc...Whoever is running the Special teams show is just an Idiot. You dont put jordy nelson on PR/KR EVER for anyreason, what made you think that he could do it? I'd say get rid of all these jokers, I dont see why anybody would still be on the Mason crosby bandwagon, I know he can kick it from New York to LA, but he couldnt hit the broad side of a barn from the 10 yard line if the game was on the line. Will blackmon is back, and TT got some interesting UDFA's so our return game should be better, But people need to start being held accountable on these Kick-offs and Punts, where we allow them to return the ball basically back to where we kicked it from. I can't emphasize enough how important the Field Position game can be.

Inside linebacker for me is the biggest need. If Hawk or Barnett go down, Chillar (A guy who can play all 4 positions IMO) has to start, and we lose depth at the position...I think we ALL agree we've gotten lucky by not needing Des Bishop last year.

Everyone in the NFC is scared of GB this year. Last year we had an injured O line and secondary and was one call away from moving out of 1st round... The vikings got the better of us during the regular season but this year Brett or Not we will be ready. The only team we have to worry about is the SB Saints... They have a potent pass first offense... Their Defense im not worried about we dont have a turnover QB and Rodgers is mobile he is well adjusted to pressure. We struggle when there is a lack of pressure that's why kurt warner killed us... Ted doesn't think our old secondary is in danger then fine... BUT PLEASE GET US AN LB WHO CAN BLITZ.... Biggest need besides a CB for the future... A OLB or DE. Adalius Thomas or Derrick Burgess would be perfect. They are 3-4 vets and both are hungry... We are literally one free agent away from the superbowl!!!!!!

Well.........I look at it being a matter of who needs to be replaced on our roster. First of all..........Jarrett Bush needs to go. Bell needs to be scrutinized a bit more during the preseason. If Harrell gets injured in camp or the preseason........he needs to be cut. Although Patrick Lee was a guy I hoped could help us at corner, if he gets hurt again...........he's gone. Sorry......but he's not helping if he's not on the field. Alot of people are talking about our punter or lack of a punter. Lets see what these two new guys have before we do anything there. If Crosby has another bad year........he also needs to get kicked to the curb. I found myself to many times after watching the first half of the season saying "****.... we have to try a field goal". I really wish we would have never let our last FG Kicker go. I hate watching him kick for the Vikings

#1- Pass Defense
#2- Pass Defense
#3- Punt Coverage
#4- Punt Return Blocking

#1 & #2... I am of the belief that the key to stopping the opposing passing offense is to disrupt, hammer, scare the QB. It worked against Favre and Warner and Manning for the Saints. Their starting CB's aren't better than Woodson and Harris, but they pressured the hell out of the QB's.
But our CB depth is terrible too, IMO. Traymon is a solid #3 NFL CB. Not great, not good, just solid. But as a #2, he's a liability. And after him, we have nothing proven other than toast.

Brad Jones might blossom, and I sure hope he does. I have more faith in him + the rookie FA's than I do the CB's behind Traymon.

Our punt units are terrible. We were horrible covering opponents punts, and our own punt blocking schemes were pathetic. It was like light and day watching those things closely last year. Coach Slocum better have them playing smarter this year.

Kick coverage was also crappy and it cost us the Tampa Bay game.
