I usually end up eating hamburger helper as a dip with salsa chips. Especially the Spanish or rice based ones.

Son is cooking up homegrown hamburger patties and sausage patties for double deckers, frying up bacon and onions and setting out the rest of the fixins including cheddar cheese from the local cheese factory. Also pork and beans and cheesy noodles to complete the meal all washed down with (for me) some Leinies.

Today, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 there is snow on the ground. This may be normal weather where you live, but for many it is something that occurs 2 to 3 times per winter season. So to honor the snow, I hereby revive an old family tradition of making the great pot of homemade Beef Vegetable Soup. Slow cooked and to be eaten with a sandwich of cold cuts and fixings from the refrigerator . The beverage is in my case Iced Tea (sweet).
Not having frozen or canned vegetables as when I was younger and there was a family garden, I have had to get canned and frozen and fresh vegetables from the local store along with the best cuts of cubed beef available. The large crock pot has been in service sense 10am this mourning is filling my home with that old, familiar , and comforting aroma.

    Got that right ole chap
We have that sometimes before Halloween. Trick&treat costumes are designed to go over snowsuits.
Sounds good. Care to send a care package?
