Donnie Anderson was the #1 draft choice of Green Bay out of Texas Tech in the 1965 draft.
He played for the Packers from 1966 thru 1971.

He had 787 rushing attempts for 3165 yards = 4.0 avg.

He also was the punter averaging approx. 40 yards per punt.

Donnie was big and fast for that era at 6"3" 210 pounds.

Wasn't he one of the Golddust twins? Him and Jim Grabowski?

That's right Grabowski was drafted #1A in 1966 and played through the 1970 season.
He had one good year in 1968 rushing for 518 yards on 135 carries.
His career average was about 3.5 yards per carry.
In 1971 Brockington took over the load and that was the end of the "Gold Dust Twins".

where and why did you read that?
Where? Don't recall, but I usually remember things when I read them even vaguely, though take it with a grain of salt.
Why? Umm, because I can?
