Favre NEVER took the drugs when he was going to play. He got hooked on painkillers, was a bigger man then most by admitting it, and changed his ways.

I think that you are candy coating that a little...like any good fan.

Favre was addicted to pain killers. By definition, addicts cant control themselves. THerefore, to say that he NEVER took drugs when he was going to play does not make sense.

I have never had pain killers, so I am not sure the advantage that he may have gained.

I do not know how ANY one could play a game like football while on pain killers..

Since you never took them, it isnt like speed, or something that hypes you up..You basiclly get foggy headed, feel numb, almost like your drunk..But more aware of everything going on..

So I would find it hard to believe that anyone could play the q.b spot when they took 3,4,5,6 pain killers..
