Hate is awlful strong word to use for a dislike of a Sport's franchise

it is.

i HATE the philadelphia eagles...i remember where i was this time last year, and the very thought of them winning a super bowl literally made me sick...the year before that, 4th and 26 plus the aftermath, even worse

Javon....I feel your pain and feel the exact same way. This year's lack of hype is actually refreshing after living in the Philly area last year.

Damn Vikings. I still remember that 10-10 tie at Lambeau Field in 1978. Tarkenton running all over the place and the Packers could never catch him, then he throws the ball to where a receiver is NOWHERE NEAR, and the refs don't call him for intentional grounding, and this was back in the days when they actually used to make that call. If the Pack had won that game, OR if the Herman Edwards miracle fumble return at the Meadowlands had not happened, the Packers would've been in the playoffs. They finished 8-7-1, and back then 8-7-1 was a GREAT season for the Packers. 9-7 and a playoff appearance would've been sweet. It would've made my childhood just a little bit better. I am bitter about it to this day.

Must have missed my post "Ask me if I give a damn"

Yes, I did miss that post. Could you post a link so I can read about how you don't give a damn? Please hurry, too, I don't think I can go another minute without hearing your treasured opinion.

I know. The anticipation alone must be excruciating for you. Be patient. All of my posts will be available in a greatest hits collection soon. :D

Old farts like me always think of the Bears first.

Although the Vikings are close behind.

I'm no fan of the Cowgirls either.

Vikings now, only 'cause the Bears have been struggling until recently. Came across this a couple days ago....

Emmet Platten, a Green Bay fan, charged out of the stands during a game at City Stadium in 1936 and slugged one of the Chicago Bears in the middle of the field. Platten avoided arrest and wrote a letter to the Green Bay Press-Gazette the next day justifying his actions.

Can you see someone trying to do that today? First, look at the SIZE of the football players, and all the protective gear they wear! WHERE would you punch them? (Other then below the belt!) And would you want a guy like Grady Jackson MAD at you??? :D

I guess I'd have to say that ... like PWT36..., I don't really HATE any of the other Teams.

There's enough hatred being fostered upon the public as it is, in another arena.

But, as far as "Teams I could really care less about, or always wish the OTHER Team wins every time".. they would be:

Cowboys (Jerry Jones is just a putz, that's all there is to it!)
[I was a huge fan of Tom Landry, tho']

Eagles (they're like an Albatross for the Packers...)
Vikings (they've replaced the Bears rivalry in the last 20 years...)
Tampa Bay (I guess it comes from the ol' Battle of the Bays Era)

da BEARS --- 'cause It's tradition!

Ever since the 70's - it's always been - "We gotta at least beat da Bears, ya hey!"

But, deep down, I always remember it was ol' Papa Bear that was leadin' the charge to get the Packers allowed into the NFL to begin with. Papa Bear made that happen. Oh, I imagine the Pack would have probably made it after another year or three - but Papa Bear made it happen waaay quicker.

Much to his dismay... muwhahahahaha! But, I'll leave that for another thread.

Oh, and one other thing - let's never forget how it was "da Bears" who came to bail out the Pack, when bankruptcy loomed large... and then the Pack doing the Bears a return favor, when they were about to be shut down due to financial difficulties, as well. And, gentlemen - that means "several times".. not just once each.

Worst fans out there? Gotta be evenly matched - Eagles = Vikings
Course, some of those Bucs fans could "get a clue" and it still wouldn't help!

Go You Packers, GO!
