Take away Detroit and the Packs oppenents are 17-3 and all 4 losses are to current Division Leaders.

Glad we did not start with a difficult schedule.

Good point. The Saints and Rams were supposed to be pushovers, and there was a lot of doubt about the Eagles as well. The schedule is looking a little better now, though. Some people picked Miami to go to the Super Bowl, but they may be even worse than the Lions right now.

Part of it could be because of the Packers. If they were to win the 4 that they lost, their opponent's record would then be 13-12. And the Bears would not be a division leader.

Yes, that's always the case with these "opponents' record" stats, which is why I interpret them cautiously. The fairest way to do it is simply to take away the games that the Packers played. If you do that, the Packers' opponents are 13-7 overall, which is still a very good record.

Well, if this is a trend, hopefully we can topple the Dolphins since they are 1-4 as well.

You can't take away the Packers' games, they count just as much as every other game.

Even with this said, it makes 1-4 a little bit more tolerable.

Losing to the Saints, Eagles, St. Louis and Bears certainly isn't tough to do. Even when we think we have an easy part of the schedule, it changes on us.

I LOATHE preseason schedule rankings for this reason. Everyone and their grandma moans about how easy Team X's sched. is or whatever, but as was mentioned, parity makes it a waste of time to really analyze this b4 the season even starts.
