Just finished listening to this song:

Well, I know they never were big in the US but this track definitely belongs to the soundtrack of my life.
I was a young man and on my first trip to UK and they were big those days, really big.
You dont need to like the bigmouths Noel and Liam Gallagher but they were an outstanding Live band.

At the moment listening to this great song by Arctic Monkeys:

My daughter once borrowed my cell phone to go to a Southern Baptist youth group meeting. She didn't know that I had personalized the ring tones. Right near the end of the meeting, the kids were all quiet with their heads bowed in prayer while the leader prayed. Just at that moment, someone called me on my cell phone (which my daughter had with her) and in a loud volume (because I'm hard of hearing) came this blasting interruption of prayer "Pour me something tall and strong. Make it a hurricane before I go insane." :roflmao::roflmao:

    you must post video :)

for my 40th my wife bought me an acoustic guitar. I've always wanted to play something and never learned. One regret from childhood was that i love music and know nothing about it. So I've been mostly self learning for almost the last year and I'm still terrible, but not nearly as terrible as before. I love it. I can play what are probably pretty easy songs that are just single notes, but strumming chords together has been very difficult for me. Getting my 2nd and 3rd finger to separate and move independently has been a struggle to say the least and i found that stretching for notes helped, but of course I haven't worked on doing chord changes much. So this will be a slow process for me :)

Needless to say I have a much greater appreciation for just how good some of these guys are. anyway, in anticipation of one of my older fav's coming out with a new album, i'm taking in their older stuff

Anything by Radiohead, or the Stones from 1968 to 1972, especially Sticky Fingers.

I'll listen to anything that is pre-MTV. :)

Saw Chicago at Red Rock near Denver in 1977 or thereabout, I don't remember exactly. Was always a huge fan of any band or performer, regardless of the genre, that displayed a wider range of musical talent. I don't mean that to sound snobby or condescending because I can't play anything except a hum-a-comb or spoons and even that is marginal at best.

I laid my mitts on a couple of tix to see these guys at the Oshkosh Grand Opera House today and am hoping I can work some time loose to actually go. A Chicago "tribute" band that from what I hear, really KILLS:
