The West Coast offense is old and must be updated...the use of short passes allows defenses to bunch up at the line and kick our butts.

If we cannot extend the game vertically we will have no offensive success...both Sherman and Rossley want to stick to a scheme that is not working and has not for several years (against good teams and now every team).

Remember in last year's payoffs...the Vikings knew what was coming...it is very obvious to all of us. Short little passes and Green off right tackle. Every team has our number...the Coaches need a new plan of attack.

No huddle offense...Bubba deep over the middle...Chatham on more slants...

Anything but Bubba short over the middle in a crowd...INTERCEPTION AGAIN!!!

The Packers don't really play west coast offense. I don't know what it's called but it's not quite the same as it was in the mid 90s.

How about calling it the "NO TIGHT END" offense...since that position seems to be irrelevant to Sherman and Rossley...

ding ding ding

bubba short over the middle, long over the middle...throw 88 the ball!

see there's something that they don't understand here...Walker accounted for, on an average game, lets say 7 receptions for 90 yards, we've gotta distribute to new targets to make up for what we lost with javon...sherman is gonna have to suck it up and, well, throw to his tight end

Wow! You and I actually agree on something. If guys are covered down the field doesn't it stand to reason that the TE might be open on intermediate routes. I admit that I have a tough time seeing the whole field watching the game on tv and it's really tough to see the coverage downfield, but if Brett is standing there all day, guys are not open down field and someone should, therefore, be open underneath no? Use Bubba for chrissakes!

the west coast offense is a joke. Detroit has been trying to run it for the last few years and we have a quarterback in his fourth year who still hasn't figured it out yet. WCO=We Can't Overcome

Well, obviously not since the 49ers won a few Super Bowls with it and so did the Packers. It all depends on how it's implemented and how predictable the coach is.

The Packers used to use their TEs all the time. When Chmura and Jackson were on the team they had the best 2 TE combination in the league and took advantage of that. Chmura used to catch TDs all the time!

you've gotta have short-threat targets and long-threat targets...if your tight end is not a target, you've gotta pull recievers in to give your QB a short option. If your recivers are in, there's nobody deep. Bubba Franks needs to be at least mobilized to attract SOME attention from the lb's to get our recievers free

Brett Favre can still gun the ball downfield with the best of them...the play in the end zone, the pass to Ferguson that got picked off (i forget who intercepted it), that guy just made the better play, it wasnt a careless play by Favre, but a careless playcall...Ferguson does not have that leaping ability...thats the kind of route you run to Javon Walker, not to Robert Ferguson...
