[QUOTE="Pokerbrat2000, post: 929452, member: 7261"] OK....you are comparing 2 situations that are not exactly the same, is that better? There was no dilemma in New Orleans 4 years ago, Brees wanted to play for the Saints. The Saints, despite drafting 3 QB's (2015, 2020 and 2021) as well as FA's Taysom Hill, Bridgewater and Winston, didn't find a replacement for Brees. Have the Packers found Rodgers replacement yet? We don't know and they still have 4 years left to do so, before I would compare them to New Orleans. Like I said, the players AND the situations are different. I do agree that the Rodgers situation has slowly become more like the Favre situation, which is why I threw his name into the mix. I think many of us have said that since Love was drafted. IF and that is a big IF right now, Love does show that he is the heir apparent, then of course they probably trade Rodgers, get as much as they can and move on. However, if Love doesn't pan out, I don't think they say "Let's not end up like the Saints and keep Rodgers too long, trade him". They might say "he still doesn't want to be here, lets try to draft his replacement in the 2022 draft and get ready to move on. But if Rodgers is all in as a Packer, Love doesn't look legit, why would you move on from Rodgers 4 years before he reaches the age that Brees and Favre retired and 7 years prior to an age when Brady is still playing?
