Hey guys - first of all I have to apologize that I didn't write an introduction here at this forum, I promise I will get that done soon. I intended to write one before making my first post here, but this game today made me change my plans (And of course, what almost every german uses to state at the beginning of a conversation in english: sorry for my poor english, I try to do my very best to get my thoughts to an understandable level ;o)). I am a little bit kind of shocked what we have to witness today and as so many of you I also do not understand all these seemingly simple mistakes. JL's decision making is underground bad today, all these penalties are killing the entire game and as if this is not enough we have to encounter so many other things like poor snaps and of course all that against an opponent that ist clearly one of the play off candidates and favourites. The lions built up a team that is able to punish every single mistake. And as a kind of maximum punishment they scored twice on fourth down today. That is hard to watch to be honest. But on the other hand - please do not forget: the Packers are again the youngest roster in NFL (as well as last season if I get it right). Last season they overperformed in my opinion, but this is so typical for a young team after having a sensational season. The second season ist so often way harder to perform and convince people than the first one. They still have many miles to go to be a reliable top team. I know that the NFL is kind of a snakepit, talent is not an excuse for poor performances and expectations are as high as the salaries - but sometimes (especially with young players) that simply doesn't work and they need time to grow. With regard to the remaining schedule this season I expect the packers to finish the regular season perhaps with a 10-7, don't know if that might be sufficient for the play offs. But perhaps the team teaches me better and to be honest - there are many teams this year in the NFC not performing very well (except the NFC NOrth ;o)). This season might be a tough one, but things aren't over yet. Another second half like last season and we are back in. There is a lot of talent in this team, they might not have time till eternity, but I believe that next season will be the indicator if this team will establish as a top team or not. Cheers guys, lets hope they use the bye week to improve some things in discipline and snaps. (I am going to start my introduction now ;o)).
