Alrighty then - today is usually when I make my picks (by the seat of my pants - LOL)

For all others who have been somewhat curious but involved - here's a screen!

Next up, I will show my picks screen.... (in white)

For now - who would you pick over whom?

Okay - for those that are skittish...
- here ya go with what "I" would choose!

Things could change, but so far, I hear Vick is day-to-day, but will play against the Patriots... and since Buffalo can't seem to get their act together, then the Dolphins get the up front pick... until they prove otherwise... INDY may have been having issue(s) with the Niners, last year - but this time around, if the Refs "give" the game to SanFran again? The Uproar should get several of them blacklisted... The web-sters will pull a Dan Rather back-biter (political?) on Pablo Tagliabue.....last year's game was a total farce and the NFL Officials "knew it".... DALLAS/PHILLY & SEATTLE/St.LOUIS are the two games which are basically up in the air right now - I need to see who is listed as probable or not on Saturday...

Opinions, pundits?

Boy there sure isn't anything such as a "lock" pick anymore this year in the NFL. Maybe Indy this week.
as for others, the home team advantage kinda balances things out this week.
Looks to be tough as the first week.
I think I'll wait on the injury list to see who plays. Vick? All the Pack players that got hurt last night? Many others.

Okay Cheeseheads - here's the latest updates from USA Today ----

  • Falcons.... - by 3
    Eagles..... - by 3.5
    Denver.... - by 7
Chargers. - by 3 (Monday Night Football - should be a good game!)
    Buffalo..... - by 3
    Packers... - by 3
    Rams....... - by 3
    Tampa..... - by 3.5
    Texans.... - by 3
Colts....... - by 14.5 (that's all...? Czabe says they should run up the points)
Jags........ - by 3 (Sunday nite game)
Lions........ - by 1 ( Say what?.. no way, not against the Ravens!)
    Browns.... - by 3
    Panthers.. - by 2.5

Sheridan's Picks for Week 5

I gotta say - this week's ODDs demonstrate more parity in the NFL than any week I've seen so far - with exception (of course) of the Indianapolis Colts. Then, there's Denver - but that could end up being the upset of the week. I'm not discounting the Colts debacle from last year at the Niners, tho' - go figure such a thing happening twice.... lightning striking, etc... Sorta doubt it. The bookies are gonna clean up this week...

I haven't finished by review yet - lookin' at Injuries, and all that jazz.
What about everyone else?

I'm still above .500 but may not be after this week.

#1 I always pick the Packers to win!!

Detroit, Chicago win, sorry fans.
Miami, New England win and continue battle for division lead.

St Louis, Denver, and SanDiego win at home but Tampa Bay, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Carolina, Cincinnati, and Filthydelphia win on the road.

IMHO

Interesting picks, AG - You know something the rest don't?

I remember reading Michael Vick was questionable for today....
I'm thinkin' the Ravens get a blow out..... Even if Detroit is at home, there were only favored by 1 point. Good luck with your picks...

Remember guy (and gals) - you have up until one hour before the games to change your picks on "Beat the Experts!

I'll be at the Headquarters, with the IPB Club early - so I'm stickin' with these changes...

It is a good thing I don't drive up to Lake Tahoe or Reno and watch all the games in the Casino and bet on "sure things" any more. I'd hate to see my record with point spreads included.

Get over yourself, Cheese - you're only three games ahead of me despite this week's performance....

I always bounce back....

The guys on this site (HBO) who consistently get 13-1 are working in RENO!

No kidding Prez. Or its like the girl who wins the office pool because they liked the color of a certain uniform. Never fails.

As for you other guys who aren't playing, at least try to see if you could pick for the "weekly wins" if you feel you missed a week and don't want to play any more.

At least you don't have to put "confidence numbers" for each game. Like Prez said earlier, with the "parity this year", that "lead" would change hands regulary.
