I live in Northern California. Most seasons I get to see 8 to 10 regular season Packers games in a good season. Since 2008 at least, before that we really only got to see SNF and MNF games. So far this season EVERY game has been televised here in Chico. The throwback game vs. the Browns in particular really was awesome because on the TV-map Butte County in Ca (where Chico is, and where Rodgers is from.) was the ONLY part of the entire west coast to get the Packers game. I don't know if the local Fox and CBS affiliates have gone to "voting system" or not, but suddenly we are getting every game.

This week we have MNF so obviously I will get to see that game. Next week is the Eagles game at 10am and the 49ers play at 1pm. The Raiders play at 10am on CBS so there should be no schedule conflicts. The only worry there is that Fox only shows one game that week, in which case they will show the 49ers instead of the Packers =(.

Now on to week 11. When I first heard about the "schedule flex." I was PISSED! I mean, that is a nationally televised game! I know for folks living in Wisconsin it isn't a big deal because the game will be shown no matter what, but for us out of towners it can mean we don't get to see our Packers play! So naturally I go and check the 49ers and Raiders schedule and I see that the 49ers play on MNF that week! YES! Then I check the Raiders, they play at 10 on CBS! YES YES! So, if Fox only shows one game in week 11 it SHOULD be the Packers game. At least for California, at least for Chico.

Also, I am worried about our last SNF game vs. the Falcons. They suck too and will probably be a "poor ratings" game as the Packers vs. Giants game could have been. I say COULD have because in recent years there has been a heated rivalry between the Packers and Giants. Also, if the Giants win this week they are in the hunt for the NFC East, right? Anyways, can we get flexed out of yet ANOTHER prime-time, nationally televised game? I really like having the "security" of knowing that I will get to watch my, OUR Packers play.

Thanks for the read. I know this "formula" for checking Raiders and 49ers play time/network doesn't work of all of us out of the Wisconsin market, but maybe if you live in a different team's market you can apply the same forumla?

Week 11 is the first week of the season that NFL employs flexible scheduling. The Packers and the Giants were originally scheduled to play on the Sunday Night Football broadcast in Week 11 but that game has been moved to 2:25 MST and will air on Fox.

@Smokeychedder

Can you please provide the link, I also took out most of your post and quoted the edited version...

Thanks

Posting Articles:
There has been a number of occasions where a user wants to post an article from another site. We are completely IN FAVOR of posting articles from another since that creates a good discussion on this site. However, there are some guidelines that need to be followed.

The most basic concept when posting articles from another site is to NOT copy the entire article and post it on this site. Ideally, you would ONLY be copying the first couple of paragraphs with a link back to the original article. Link should be clearly visible. Also, you should wrap those couple of paragraphs in a quote tag.

The one thing that NEVER should be done is copying articles from PAY sites. We do not allow this at all and could get us in trouble if we post content from paid sites.

I have to admit... I'm pissed too but we Packers fans can't really complain noting that we have been switched into the nighttime slot 2 or 3 times now in the last 2 season

I don't recall being switched into the national game...? I thought that rule was implemented THIS season or maybe last season? I now it was recent...

see, I'm not pissed at all. I hate "waiting all day for Sunday night."

I don't mind if it means I get to see the game for sure!

The Giants- Packers game where Rodgers had the game winning drive for the field goal was the one time where it was switched into primetime. Also, the Packers had been selected to keep their spot (at 4:25 EST primetime and 8 EST twice) on multiple dates (I provided the games below):

It's not that new. Flex scheduling has been around at least for seasons, I think, maybe longer.
