By then a 6 game losing streak should be enough incentive. If we lose to the Jets that would be as bad as losing to Cleveland last season. MLF sometimes has trouble getting the team fired up for the league lessers.

That is right. We are riding a 5 gamer. But I still cannot picture MLF getting mad. Frustrated maybe. And you need core players to get mad as well. We have a lot of newcomers who were not here for those 5.By then a 6 game losing streak should be enough incentive.
That wouldn’t be good. The only thing I’d say about last year is that Browns Defense was legit great. They ranked top 2 through much of the season, so it was going to be a slug fest. Plus Flacco did just enough to stall with lots of short on target passes that ran the clock. We also were adjusting after losing Jayden Reed Week 2. Then we allowed a blocked FG on Teams that would’ve given a chance to at least play OT. Not making excuses because we deserved to lose, but we needed our star Slot WR there IMO. We had a Rookie as our lead Wideout and Jacobs 42 yards finished as our lead Veteran Receiver. If we lose to the Jets that would be as bad as losing to Cleveland last season. To beat the Vikings I would say we need to repeat the performance we had in WK 1 last season vs. Detroit. Anything less and it becomes very difficult. That wouldn’t be good. Probably could’ve had some better play calling for sure.
PS. The prior week Cincinatti narrowly defeated Cleveland 17-16. Burrow threw for 113 yards and 1 TD.
Tee Higgins 33 yards
Noah Fant 26
J’mar Chase 26 yards
Cincinatti rushed for 1.7 yards per carry
Meanwhile Flacco went 31/45 290 yards passing. Clock control.
True that!I am very interested in the running game and whether or not the OL can keep Love from running for his life.
One last thing, get Kraft's contract done already.
Oh yeah it sure does.Man the wait for the NFL season to start feels like an eternity this year
I am in no hurry.Man the wait for the NFL season to start feels like an eternity this year

Tough schedule. Lot of very strong opponents. Just picturing Buffalo and Houston later on is scary. Throw in the Rams, Cowboys, Tampa, New England, and the 6 games in our division and we could actually play better than each of the last 3 seasons but still finish with 7 or 8 wins. Disheartening. Yet, Tampa or Carolina could win their division at 8-9.After reading these comments.. I feel Like we’re already 8-9.. and we haven’t even suited up for a game yet!![]()

It's not very often I agree with JS sports writer Tom Silverstein. He does have a thought provoking article today - the OL, not CB, may be the weakest position group on the team.
He makes a lot of good points. I won't repeat all of them. He does correctly point out the misuse of Morgan last year, the importance of having more depth for the inevitable injuries, and the fact that no coaching changes were made to the OL from last year.
It's gonna be a very long season if this comes true.

The amount of loathing I have for Silverstein... but for another day I guess. It's not very often I agree with JS sports writer Tom Silverstein. He does have a thought provoking article today - the OL, not CB, may be the weakest position group on the team.

Are we sure ZBB is good to go? If he isn't then it'll be a long day for us.The amount of loathing I have for Silverstein... but for another day I guess.
I don't agree with him here either, but I understand the point.
Im real confident in the tackles ( if healthy), it's the interior that worries me.
I think with injuries, a new LT and just an all around shuffle of the OL in the last few years, there should be a lot of question marks. If Banks can get healthy and play up to the level he played at in San Fran, that is a good start. Also, Morgan at LT is a big question mark. The former first round pick has been an underperforming, bordering on bust player so far. Hopefully, what we are hearing out of camp is true and he can play LT at or above average level. Injuries and development will play a key role in how the Packers OL performs this season. It's not very often I agree with JS sports writer Tom Silverstein. Well, you could put Brooks back there to pass block and throw it all the time.Belton has been inconsistent. I'm not sure how good guys like Monk and Glover are as depth pieces. Rhyan seems okay at center, but not great. Banks has been disappointing. Bako-Bewele needs to stay heathy. I'm not worried about Morgan.
So, yes, the O-line is potentially problematic. Couple that with the unviability of you star running back, there could be some problems, especially early on. We'll see how good Lloyd is at picking up blitzers.
A challenge for Stenavich for sure. This is where coaches earn their money.
Brooks is just one guy and can only do so much. I really hope that the Packers don't have to rely on a RB and/or TE to constantly assist with pass blocking 3-4 defensive players. A RB should only have to stick behind the LOS if he is picking up a blitzer. Otherwise, he should be providing the QB another receiving option.Well, you could put Brooks back there to pass block and throw it all the time.
.I mean it's pathetic. Any contender wouldn't be an underdog against the Vikings. Why did MLF get extendedThe Vikings will be favored. Home field. Plus they finished the season with 5 wins. We finished with 5 losses. We may be favored in WK 2 depending on our performance in this one and our injury report.
